Solveiga Palevičienė appointed Managing Partner of GLIMSTEDT

Professor Dr. Solveiga Palevičienė, Head of the Dispute Resolution practice area, has been appointed Managing Partner of law firm GLIMSTEDT. She steps into the management role at the law firm with a strong statement of commitment: “We are not, and we will not be, a legal services ‘machine’ – instead, we resemble personal family doctors who are not only capable of making an accurate diagnosis of the client’s issues, but also undertake all preventive measures necessary for the client to avoid those issues.”

On 1 February, Dr. Palevičienė will take over the position from Partner Linas Sesickas, whose two-year term of office is coming to an end. Linas will continue to head the Banking & Finance practice area at the law firm.

“We have a strong team of qualified lawyers, many of whom are graduates of prestigious universities abroad. We are among the leaders in legal services and will continue to attract professionals who consider legal practice a lifestyle rather than a job,” says Mr Sesickas. “We seek to integrate, to learn about our client from the inside, and to understand their actual business needs. I wish Solveiga success in carrying on that good practice and ensuring that, rather than being among those who lag behind, we continue to be proactive in proposing efficient business management solutions and providing our clients with exceptional professional attention.”

“By strengthening our position of leadership in legal services and maintaining our good practice, we will also pursue all the necessary substantial changes required by today’s dynamic, innovative, international business market,” emphasizes Solveiga Palevičienė. “Mitigated risks and timely risk management are the goals of a modern lawyer’s practice. We are open to challenges and are the fiduciaries of our clients’ affairs, as well as their strategic partners. We are not, and we will not be, a legal services ‘machine’ – instead, we resemble personal family doctors who are not only capable of making an accurate diagnosis of the client’s issues, but also undertake all preventive measures necessary for the client to avoid those issues. We must be ready to adapt to the changing needs of our clients and to provide quality services in any corner of the world.”
