Dr. Laura Augytė-Kamarauskienė, Managing Partner of GLIMSTEDT Lithuania, has been appointed by the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) as the Integrity Officer, responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of integrity and sportsmanship are upheld in all domestic and international matches.
Dr. Laura Augytė-Kamarauskienė attended Singapore’s first FIFA Integrity Officers Summit in April this year. The two-day event, the first of its kind, focused on a common approach to the problem of match-fixing and brought together fair play officials from 211 countries responsible for preventing and combating match-fixing to exchange best practices and enhance their knowledge of FIFA’s Integrity Strategy, which focuses on the implementation of a strategic action plan, identification of problems, preventive measures, and investigations in cooperation with law enforcement authorities.
“The information and partnerships gained at the FIFA Integrity Summit will help in the fight against match-fixing, crime, and corruption in football at various levels. I thank the LFF and President Edgaras Stankevičius for their trust and the opportunity to serve in this position,” said Dr. Laura Augytė-Kamarauskienė, Managing Partner of GLIMSTEDT Lithuania.
“We emphasize promoting fair play in the Federation, and the representative in this position must have a wealth of knowledge. We hope this step will help us fight even harder against match-fixing and unfair play,” said LFF President Edgaras Stankevicius.
