GLIMSTEDT at annual European Employment Lawyers Association conference in Cyprus

Senior Associate Inga Klimasauskiene participated in the annual conference of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA) held on 4th – 6th June in Limassol, Cyprus.
 
The conference was attended by more than four hundred lawyers from the majority of European countries. These distinguished European employment lawyers discussed the influence of the economic climate on the direction of employment law, the legal issues surrounding posted workers, the inexhaustible issues on discrimination, working time and flexi time, employment litigation and arbitration procedure, remedies best practices and trends in the EU.
 
Additionally, the conference covered the perceptible increase in the use of arbitration, especially in cross-border employment disputes, and deliberated on the matter of the establishment of a specialist Institute of Employment Arbitration, Rules for Employment Arbitration and a possible EELA Arbitration Forum, to which the newly elected Board will take serious consideration.
