GLIMSTEDT Associate Partner Dr Solveiga Palevičienė has become a MRU professor

In September 2017, GLIMSTEDT Associate Partner Dr Solveiga Palevičienė has become a professor at the Institute of Civil Justice of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) in Vilnius, Lithuania. Until then she was an associate professor at that University for eight years.

Dr Solveiga Palevičienė is a highly experienced dispute resolution and arbitration professional who has gained her experience working, among other things, as Advisor to the Judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania and as Chief Advisor to the Chairman of the Supreme Court, also as Advisor to the President of Lithuania on Legal Matters. She is also a conciliator listed on the Panel of Conciliators and Arbitrators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and a member of the Lithuanian Bar Association. Dr Solveiga Palevičienė is an arbitrator recommended by the Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration and a dispute resolution lawyer recommended by The Legal 500.

Dr Solveiga Palevičienė has earned her Master’s Degree from Vilnius University, then a Master’s Degree in International Dispute Settlement from the Geneva University Law School. She defended her PhD thesis at Mykolas Romeris University in 2008.

Dr Solveiga Palevičienė often participates and speaks at various national and international conferences devoted to contract, tort, arbitration and investment law matters. She was appointed the Grand Officer of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit in 2011.
