GLIMSTEDT and LNOBT are united by values, precision and courage to improvise

Glimstedt Law Firm remains committed to support and sponsorship and is very pleased with its new collaboration with the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (LNOBT).

This collaboration not only reflects the Law Firm’s values but also symbolises the fusion of tradition and modernity, which is characteristic of both the law firm and the theatre.

“Art has the power to bring people together, to inspire and stimulate discussions. Similar to art, law  requires precision, interpretation and creative thinking –  a blend of attributes that enables us to achieve the best results possible. We hope that our support will help creative projects and will contribute to new theatrical productions, educational programmes, and to the discovery of artistic talents,” says Dr Laura Augytė-Kamarauskienė, Managing Partner of Glimstedt. According to her, such partnership between the Law Firm and LNOBT displays the courage to improvise and the courage to create, both being essential in today’s realms of business and art.

As stated by Audrius Kundrotas, LNOBT’s Deputy General Manager for Art and Marketing, the theatre has a mission to foster the traditions of opera and ballet in a professional way, to become  a bridge between classical and modern art, and to open the door to the inner world of the present-day person.

“We strive to inspire and benefit the public by giving them the opportunity to experience world-class performances. Music is a universal language with a unique ability to connect people and unleash their emotions, thus making it possible for them to cope with daily challenges and to find peace and inspiration. In that way, sponsorship constitutes a spiritual investment that helps to strengthen community bonds. By promoting social responsibility and new initiatives, sponsors become an example for others to follow,” emphasizes Audrius Kundrotas.

Partnership is rooted in traditions and shared goals

While the law firm works to maintain a rich business law tradition, the theatre as a prestigious cultural establishment promotes creativity and artistic expression. The alliance between these two allows both sides to use their knowledge and experience towards a shared goal, which is to promote culture in Lithuania.

Glimstedt Law Firm has been a committed supporter of various endeavours for many years, supporting such sports communities as the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee, the Lithuanian Wrestling Federation, and single athletes like the Lithuanian Olympic dressage rider Justina Vanagaitė. It also supported envoys of the foundation titled “Personalities of the Future”: tennis player Ričardas Berankis, discus thrower Virgilijus Alekna, and others. At present, Glimstedt provides support to academic communities: the Vilnius University Foundation, the Vilnius University Faculty of Law, and the Klaipėda University Foundation, among others.

The name of Glimstedt is also perfectly known to the cultural society because of its role in organising the NIDA JAZZ Festival now viewed as a hallmark of Nida. More than ten years of collaboration have made the Festival an integral part of the Law Firm’s identity.

Glimstedt has supported several individual initiatives, including the translation of the Third Lithuanian Statute, which is regarded as the cornerstone of statehood, sovereignty and legal framework of the Grand Dutchy of Lithuania, reflecting the mature political society of the 16th century, and has also contributed to the publication of other books.
