On 27 March, a trade delegation from the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (Lithuania) attended a meeting at the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in New York. The event was organized by the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in New York, the New York Lithuanian Professionals and the European American Chamber of Commerce. During the event, the Lithuanian companies had the opportunity to showcase their businesses and establish contacts and partnerships in the United States.

Inga Klimašauskienė, Head of the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce, which derived in February, and Associate Partner at law firm GLIMSTEDT, introduced BACC to the Lithuanian trade delegation. Jonathan M. Herman and Jonathan E. Silverblatt, Partners at the New York legal service companies Dorsey & Whitney LLP; and John Kissane, Partner at Watson Farley & Williams, who together with GLIMSTEDT Managing Partner Egidijus Bernotas are Directors of the BACC Board, shared their experience and gave advice to the Lithuanian entrepreneurs at the meeting and looking for business opportunities in the US. Yvonne Bendinger-Rothschild, Executive Director of the European American Chamber of Commerce, presented her insights and suggestions.

The Baltic American Chamber of Commerce was established to stimulate Baltic business investment in the US and vice versa; to organize training, workshops, seminars and panel-discussions for its members; to pay special attention to business migration-related matters. Companies, business organizations and individuals are encouraged to get involved in Chamber activity. According to Inga Klimašauskienė, BACC should become the first point of assistance and mediation for businesses from Lithuania and other Baltic countries seeking contacts in and entry into the US market as well as for US businesses looking to develop in the Baltic states.
