Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance (BICG) today launched the Baltic Guidance on the Corporate Governance (Guidance) for the state and municipality-owned enterprises. These best practise recommendations were developed to enhance the financial and social performance of such enterprises and to give a competitive lift for the whole Baltic region.

Dr. Rimantas Stanikūnas joins the law firm Bernotas & Dominas Glimstedt
On 1 February 2010, Dr. Rimantas Stanikūnas joined the law firm Bernotas & Dominas Glimstedt as an expert in the competition law and consumer rights protection practice group. In 1999, Dr. Rimantas Stanikūnas served as the Chairman of the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania, and from 1993 to 1999, was the Director of the State Competition and Consumer Rights Protection Authority.

The European Investment Fund launched the innovative Business Angels Fund structure in Lithuania
On 21 January 2010 the European Investment Fund (EIF) launched more than EUR 8.4 million into Business Angels Fund I ("the Fund") together with UAB MES Invest and its shareholders and fund managers. This transaction was signed by EIF under the JEREMIE Holding Fund, which is financed from the EU Structural Funds under 2007-2013 Economic Growth Operational Programme for Lithuania.
