How are creative entrepreneurs breaking new ground in the digital age?  What kind of business and policy support is needed to help companies to grow?  Join speakers from the world-conquering Estonian IT business Skype, the Finnish company Rovio behind the international #1 paid app Angry Birds, the quick growing UK start-up Audioboo, experienced investors like Jenny Tooth from Angel Capital Group, and leading thinkers like Jeremy Silver to discuss the changing face of business and policy in the creative economy.

The event will include inspiring keynote speeches and case studies, and workshops to share practical experience and advice. Creative Hotspots is hosted by the British Council as part of our partnership with Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Estonia and Tallinn Music Week.

Priit Lätt will moderate one workshop session in the afternoon - Making it legal.
There are a range of legislation, laws, intellectual property and copyright considerations around setting up a business in the creative industries, whether it’s based on content created by you or others.  This session aims to to ‘clear the fog’ surrounding the legal framework and barriers and outline the hot policy topics.
