Hele Karja is participating in the ITechLaw 2010 Annual European Conference on October 28-29, 2010 in
Berlin, Germany.

Attorney Merit Lind delivered two presentations at a two-day conference „IT Procurements and Projects in Public Organisations“ held in Tallinn on September 3, 2010 the addressees of which were first and foremost the representatives of public sector entitites dealing with information technology projects. Attorney Merit Lind held two presentations titled “The Good Model for IT Procurement Contracts” and “Practical Suggestions and Examples of Good and Bad IT Procurement Contracts”.

On September 8, 2010 in Tartu and on September 9, 2010 in Tallinn our tax and transaction advisory consultant Marko Saag will hold a seminar about cross border business and taxes, organized by raamatupidaja.ee (in Estonian).

On September 7, 2010 our tax and transaction advisory consultant Marko Saag will hold a seminar about equity structuring and taxes, organized by Äripäev (in Estonian).

We are glad to inform that our IT/IP lawyer Hele Karja and corporate and transaction lawyer Sander Kärson participated in the M&A Summer School in Münster, Germany, which was organized by the Institute for International Business Law of the University of Münster and JurGrad GmbH.

As a single representative of law firms in Baltics, Glimstedt Straus & Partners associate Triin Tuulik participated in a high-level intellectual property summer course on 5th-9th July in Germany, Trier. The course was organised by a reputable legal trainings organization Academy of European Law.

On June 9-11, 2010 our lawyer Hele Karja will participate in the conference " IT outsourcing and software contracting entering new decade" in Helsinki where the challenges of law, business, and technology will meet.

The International Technology Law Association and Enterprise Estonia will organize on 31 May – 1 June a conference focusing on the needs and requirements of technology companies as they expand beyond the boundaries of the region.

On May 25, 2010 our tax consultant Marko Saag will hold a seminar Cross border business and taxes, organized by raamatupidaja.ee (in Estonian).

On May 25, 2010 our managing partner and head of public procurement & PPP practice group Priit Lätt will make a presentation "Amendments to the Estonian Public Procurement Act: invalidity of procurement contracts” on seminar for the officials of Tallinn City Government.

On May 5, 2010, our attorney Merit Lind participated in the public procurement conference ”Applying the EU Procurement Rules to Major Projects” in Brussels in which attorneys and European Commission officials formed a “thinktank” to seek solutions to the thorniest EU procurement questions. Amongst others, European Commission officials A. Nagy, the lead of the new Remedies Directive, as well as C. Romanini who has worked on the legislative package of the public procurement directives and competitive dialogue from the putset were present at the conference.

On April 27, 2010, our attorney Merit Lind held a lecture on „The Legal Matters of Awarding Contracts that are not or are not fully Subject to the Detailed Provisions of the Estonian Procurement Act as well as the Public Procurement Directives”.

On May 7, 2010 our lawyer Hele Karja will make a presentation "Authors’ rights and e-books" on E-book conference: Evolution or Revolution.
